Gyptech, an international specialist OEM approached us in late 2018 with a concept of an extensive conveyor system for the new Gib board factory in Tauranga. In 2020 we developed the concept into a fully detailed design with specialist input to solve the complex structural challenges. This critical infrastructure project improves New Zealand's capability in the manufacturing and building industries.

Integrated Design Process

Our equipment needed to integrate with components from overseas. Thorough 3D design and coordination with other designers allowed this to be successful.

Large Scale Equipment

The design featured a 260m long intake conveyor capable of 1000 T/hr. This 160kW conveyor utilises a large tripper car to enable optimal storage of Gypsum.

Precise Fabrication for Efficient Installation

Large spans meant the conveyors themselves were complex structures. Our skilled fabrication team built the components to precise tolerances so the equipment correctly fitted on site.

A Project for New Zealand's Future

The new conveyor system was commissioned in 2023 and is a critical part of this manufacturing facility—an outstanding project which has developed IP and formed essential relationships.
