A Technical Structural Steel Build for a Complex Seismic Upgrade

A Technical Structural Steel Build for a Complex Seismic Upgrade
This challenging seismic upgrade required us to create a way to implement the structural design provided by Batchelar McDougall Consulting. The retrofit was not straight forward, and effective collaboration was the key to ensure the design intent was maintained, partnering together for a successful outcome.

Merging Old with New

Our Design Engineers overlaid a 3D scan of the building with the new structure to ensure correct fitment and that it was physically able to be installed.

Onsite Construction

Due to the large size of the new bracing, much steelwork needed to be welded onsite. Our skilled fabricators did an amazing job under difficult conditions.

Safety Uncompromised

Working on the University grounds under Naylor Love, safety was of the utmost importance. Difficult crane lifts were required, which our experienced Engineers completed without incident.

Coordination was Key

Co-ordinating work with other trades, the installation needed to be carefully planned and managed. The success of this project showcases our capability to deliver high-quality projects safely.
