In 2019 PW Engineering were contracted to replace an aging belt conveyor, install new structural support steelwork, building repairs and seismic strengthening at Ravensdown's Seadown site.
In collaboration with TM Consultants PW Engineering came up with a new design to include a tripper car and make the required strengthening improvements. The new conveyor is capable of 450tons/hr and has a new service walkway with a specialist paint system and FRP handrailing to resist the highly corrosive fertiliser. Using only the highest quality components from SEW, Flexco, Kinder and Russet the new equipment is designed to withstand the harsh conditions and operate trouble free with minimal maintenance.
