Aspiring Materials approached PW Engineering with a bold ambition—to redefine heavy industry for a greener future—and needed an expert partner to help bring their vision to life. Our role was to support them with the development of a pilot plant for their innovative olivine rock processing facility. From initial concept design through to detailed engineering, materials procurement, on-site fabrication, and installation, PWE delivered a fully integrated solution—showcasing our capability to provide customised, end-to-end engineering services.

PW Engineering developed a comprehensive 3D layout and process piping concept as a foundational step in defining the overall project scope. This early-stage design work played a crucial role in aligning technical requirements with project goals and budget, allowing for informed decision-making from the outset.

With the concept firmly established, PWE advanced into the detailed design phase—transforming initial ideas into build-ready plans. This stage involved the development of full 3D CAD models and detailed process piping drawings capturing every element of the plant's layout and functionality. Final equipment locations were confirmed, taking into account process efficiency, safety, and maintainability.

In preparation for construction, PW Engineering took charge of the procurement phase— this involved the ordering of high-quality stainless steel pipework, along with all necessary fittings, valves, and associated components. Every item was carefully selected to meet the exacting standards of the design, allowing for the build to commence without hiccups.

Moving into the fabrication and installation phase, our on-site team carried out the fabrication and custom assembly of stainless steel pipework, structural stands, tanks, pumps, and valves as per P&ID diagrams. The team also coordinated critical support services such as crane hire, and commissioning, streamlining the path to operational readiness.
