Lime Processing Plant
Ravensdown - Dipton
PW Engineering were engaged as the primary contractor by Ravensdown to concept, build and install a new processing plant for their lime quarry in Dipton.
The scope of this project included:
- Conceptual process & mechanical design with Ravensdown
- Project scheduling, reporting and budgeting
- Engaging sub contractors to carry out civil earthworks and erect buildings
- Dealing with local authorities for consents and sign off
- Reinstatement of retaining walls and primary site improvements
- Obtaining design & certification for structural components
- Design & manufacture of processing plant
- Consultation with electrical and controls engineers to ensure operation is in line with the process and equipment design
- Development of pulverised coal burner system
- Procure & install third party equipment for multi clone & extraction system
- Reconditioning of existing plant for reuse
- Hazard analysis and safety documentation
- Plant commissioning, operator training and handover
